    The Makers Society offers a fully equipped woodworking workshop for beginners and experienced woodworkers. Our space includes high-quality Felder and Hammer woodworking machines, professional workbenches, hand tools, and power tools to ensure precision and efficiency in every project. The workshop is spacious, well-lit, and ventilated, providing a comfortable and safe environment for woodworking. Members can access various woodworking equipment, including table saws, jointers, planers, bandsaws, lathes, and dust extraction systems. We also offer dedicated areas for different types of work, such as machine operations, hand tool work, assembly, and finishing. We provide flexible rental options through our Resident Program or short-term rentals for those looking to work on personal projects. Our workshop is ideal for learning, practising, and creating high-quality wooden projects for personal use or professional work.

  • Do you run workshop tours?
    Yes, we do! If you are interested in visiting our workshop and know more about it, just drop us an email at support@makingdubai.com and we will arrange it for you.
  • How can I pay my service?
    Most of our transactions happen on the website, and you can pay using your major credit and debit cards. For other services, you will be sent a link for payment, or you can opt for a bank transfer.
  • Is there any limit to the size of my project?
    There is not a specific size limitation we can tell you right now as it depends on how much space the construction takes. For example, if you are planning to build a full library, and you want to have it mounted here on site, most probably your workbench space won't allow you to have it done. If you have any doubts on the matter, please contact one of our staff to make sure of what you can do.
  • Can I have my items shipped to The Makers Society?
    Yes sure you can! You can use our address. If you are shipping items of large size, please consider that we have a limited space here and you should coordinate it with us. We also recommend that you are present on the delivery day so you can organize your stuff. If you are not there, we can do it for you but we reserve the right to apply a handling fee of AED 150.
  • Can I cancel my Membership?
    Yes you can, at any time. Just send us an email at support@makingdubai.com and we will do it for you

    Yes! The Makers Society offers flexible workshop rental options for individuals and professionals who need a fully equipped space to work on their woodworking projects. Whether you're a hobbyist, a small business owner, or an experienced woodworker looking for high-quality tools and machines, we provide a professional and safe environment for your creative work. What Are the Workshop Rental Options? We offer two main rental options to suit different needs: Short-Term Rentals (Pay-As-You-Go) It is ideal for occasional users who need workspace for a few hours or a day. Pricing: 1 hour – AED 70 4 hours – AED 250 Full day – AED 495 Access to high-quality Felder and Hammer woodworking machines, power tools, and workbenches. Available during workshop hours, subject to space availability. Resident Program (Long-Term Rental Membership) It is best for frequent users who need regular access to the workshop. Includes priority booking, discounted rental rates, and benefits like discounted machine training. Multiple membership durations are available (1, 3, 6, or 12 months). What’s Included in the Rental? ✅ Access to professional woodworking machines (excluding CNC and Laser Engraver, which require additional training and fees). ✅ Use of workbenches and general workshop space. ✅ Guidance from on-site staff to ensure the safe use of machines. ✅ A collaborative and inspiring environment for working alongside other makers. What’s Not Included? ❌ Machine Training – Required before using machines (discounts available for Resident Program members). ❌ Hand tools and sharpening equipment – Must be provided by the renter. ❌ Materials and consumables – Wood, glue, sandpaper, and other supplies can be purchased on-site. ❌ Storage space – Available for rent separately.
