Resident Program T&C

1. Membership

1.1 The membership is personal and non-transferable.
1.2 Membership fees are non-refundable.

2. Cancellation and Renewal

2.1 Members may cancel their membership at any time before the renewal date.
2.2 Once renewed, the membership fee is non-refundable.

3. Workshop Access and Use

3.1 The Resident Program entitles members to use the workshop and its facilities.
3.2 Machine use is subject to mandatory machine training, which incurs an additional cost depending on the length of the plan.
3.3 The rental program includes all machines and power tools except for the CNC machine, Lathes, and Laser Engraver, which are charged separately. These machines require specific training and are used at the staff's discretion.
3.4 Monthly hours are capped at a maximum of 60 hours.

4. Tools and Equipment

4.1 Hand tools and sharpening equipment are not included in the Resident Program and must be provided by the member.
4.2 Materials and consumables are not included and must be purchased separately.

5. Additional Costs and Payments

5.1 Any additional costs must be paid on the same day before 6 pm.
5.2 Storage boxes are not included and can be rented separately.
5.3 Timber racks are not included and can be rented separately.

6. Hourly Commitment and Additional Hours

6.1 By choosing a rental plan, the member agrees to pay for a minimum number of hours as specified in the plan.
6.2 Any additional hours beyond the plan will be charged at the same rate as the base hourly rate of the chosen plan.
6.3 The monthly hours are capped at a maximum of 60 hours.

7. Liability and Safety

7.1 The Makers Society is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property while using the workshop facilities.
7.2 Members must adhere to all safety guidelines and instructions the staff provides.

8. Compliance

8.1 Members must comply with all workshop rules and regulations.
8.2 The Makers Society reserves the right to terminate the membership of any member who fails to comply with these Terms & Conditions or engages in unsafe or disruptive behaviour.

9. Amendments

9.1 The Makers Society reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions anytime. Members will be notified of any changes via email or the website.

10. Access Restrictions

10.1 The Makers Society reserves the right to restrict access on specific days when there is a training activity that can interfere with the Resident Program.
