Step into the world of fine woodworking with Grain & Game, a beginner-friendly workshop where you’ll craft a beautifully veneered chessboard from scratch.

Over two days, you’ll learn the core techniques that make veneering both precise and rewarding—working with hardwood veneers, cutting accurately, assembling clean patterns, and using a vacuum press to achieve professional results. You’ll then frame your board with solid timber, creating a refined piece that balances craftsmanship and design.

You’ll leave with a handcrafted chessboard that showcases both artistry and accuracy—an heirloom-style project you’ll be proud to display or gift.

  • All courses are non-refundable.
  • One free reschedule is permitted if requested more than 24 hours before the scheduled class.
  • Any additional changes, or changes requested within 24 hours of the class, are subject to a rebooking fee of AED 150.
  • Missed classes or no-shows are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling.
  • Participants must be at least 16 years of age to attend.
