Why the real workshop

A serious subject, delivered by makers

A real subject, taught properly

Hand tools, proper technique, and progression you can assess, mapped to UK National Curriculum D&T and KHDA outcomes. Students learn a craft, not a one-off activity.

We supply the room

We fit out and restock your DT workshop with benches, tools and consumables, as a one-off project and a termly supply. No other Dubai provider does both.

We train your teachers

CPD days for DT and STEAM staff, so the skill stays in your school after we leave.

Ready for procurement

Booking system, safeguarding pack, capability deck, published pricing and verified reviews. Everything your finance and compliance teams ask for.

The partnership

How schools work with us

Most schools start with the free workshop, then choose how far to take it.

What we offer

Twelve ways we support your school

Every service links to its own page with full detail, and every card shows a real from-price.

Pricing

We publish our prices

Every programme has a from-price on our rate card, so procurement doesn’t need three meetings to see a number. Most providers here keep theirs behind an enquiry form.

Curriculum

Mapped to the curriculum you already answer to

Every programme lines up with UK National Curriculum D&T, carries on to IGCSE and A-level Design & Technology, and fits KHDA and MOE frameworks.

Safeguarding

Procurement-ready from day one

We’re KHDA-approved. Every session comes with a risk assessment, and a safeguarding pack goes out with every proposal. Sessions adapt for students of determination where we can.

From the founder

I’m Luca, founder of The Makers Society. I started TMS because I think every student should get real tools in their hands instead of kits and glue guns. Tell me what your school needs, and if we’re not the right fit I’ll tell you.

Questions

Answers for DT coordinators

Do you come to us, or do students come to you?

Both. Most programmes run in your school. Field trips run at our Ras Al Khor workshop, with a full risk assessment provided.

What ages is this for?

Age 6 through secondary. We are strongest in upper-primary and secondary D&T, where we are the only Dubai provider with an adult-grade workshop.

Are you KHDA-approved?

Yes. We can send our safeguarding pack and insurance certificates on request.

Can you equip our DT room?

Yes. We handle the fit-out and the termly resupply of tools, timber and consumables. We are the UAE distributor for Narex, Kakuri, Kinex and Luban.

How do we start for Term 1?

Book a free educator workshop, or message us on WhatsApp. Schools decide their September providers in July and August, so it is worth starting now.
