Practical example
For a cabinet project, you might use Birch Plywood for the carcass and shelves, and Solid Oak for the face frame. Then apply different allowance percentages for each material depending on trim loss, grain selection and workshop tolerance.
Good to know
This version focuses on list building, organisation, grouped totals and material planning. It does not yet optimise sheet layouts or plank cutting paths, but it now gives a more practical estimate for material purchasing in the units you actually sell with.
