Woodworking classes for kids in Dubai (ages 6–15)
The Makers Society runs woodworking classes for kids in Dubai from age 6, at its Ras Al Khor workshop. Younger children join hands-on weekend and holiday workshops, building a real wooden project in a single session, while ages 10–15 can enrol in the termly Kids Academy — a structured programme (AED 3000 per term) that builds genuine skills over time. Every session is small, supervised, and uses real, properly sized tools.
Two ways in
Kids Workshops (from age 6): single sessions where children build and take home a finished piece — great for weekends and holidays. Browse dates on the Kids Workshops page.
Kids Academy (ages 10–15): a termly course that develops real technique week by week. See the Kids Academy for the current term.
Is it safe?
Sessions are small and closely supervised, with age-appropriate tools and projects. Children use real tools, and are taught to handle them properly — that's the point.
What they make
Practical, take-home projects. Workshops finish a piece in one session; the Academy builds bigger skills across a term.
